Dr. Natchez “Trey” Morice, M.D., M.B.A., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Morice grew up in nearby Gretna, Louisiana. He majored in Biology, and minored in Chemistry and Psychology at the University of New Orleans. He then went to Tulane University where he attended Law school and Business school, and received his Masters of Business Administration. Dr. Morice completed his MBA while in Medical School at LSU Medical School in New Orleans where he received his Medical Degree. Dr. Morice was a researcher in the Department of Infectious Disease at L.S.U. Medical School, and he has written and published his research in journals of infectious disease. After medical school at L.S.U., Dr. Morice completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia where he was elected by the faculty to serve as the Administrative Chief Resident. Dr. Morice came home to South Louisiana and married a local, Morgan City girl named Jennifer Spitale. They have a beautiful daughter named Gabriella, and a handsome son named Nate, and now their third child, Eli, — all three of whom Dr. Morice delivered at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Morice is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is both a Fellow and a Diplomat of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also a member of the International Continence Society, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the International Urogynecological Association, the Minimally Invasive Robotics Association, the National Vulvodynia Association, the American Medical Association, the St. Mary Medical Association, and the Louisiana Medical Associations. He is on active staff in Morgan City, Thibodaux, and Houma at Teche Regional Medical Center, Thibodaux Regional Medical Center, and Gulf Coast Surgical Center. Elizabeth Zabel, MD
Dr. Zabel is the newest addition to Thibodaux Gynecology and Obstetrics, joining the practice in August 2014. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Georgia in 2005 and then returned to her home state of South Carolina for medical school, earning her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 2010. Following medical school, Dr. Zabel moved to New Orleans to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tulane University School of Medicine. During her residency, she fell in love with the people and culture of southern Louisiana and knew she wanted to continue providing medical care in this area.
Dr. Zabel is a board-eligible physician in obstetrics and gynecology and a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her interests are in routine and high risk obstetrics, gynecological and menstrual problems, and adolescent gynecology. Kristen Plaisance, Nurse Practitioner
Kristen Plaisance is a certified family nurse practitioner. She earned her advanced practice nursing degree from the University of South Alabama and her bachelors degree at Louisiana State University. Previous work includes 5 years of labor and delivery nursing with a passion for women’s health.
Kristen joined Thibodaux Gynecology and Obstetrics in February 2012. She has been practicing since December 2009. She is a member and certified through American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is also a current member of National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health. She is the mother of three beautiful children, and her hobbies include travel and photography.
